2026 Legislative Educational Advocacy Day Recap

On March 4th, NASW Missouri Chapter held our annual LEAD event in partnership with the Missouri Psychological Association and the Missouri Professional Counselors Association. We had over 200 social workers and social work students! NASW-MO would like to especially thank State Representatives and Social Workers Aaron Crossley and Elizabeth Fuchs for their time speaking with attendees.

Attendees are social workers currently in the office. Many had the chance to speak with their elected representatives about reforms in social work supervision and prior authorization. Many also discussed the importance of prohibiting A.I. tools from being labeled as mental health professionals. Several social workers also talked about the importance of our profession in Missouri.
