We are seeking stories and articles by social work academics, social work students, and social workers across our state on topics related to social work. Feel free to suggest colleagues who may be appropriate and interested in being featured in interviews. Wondering if your idea would make a good article? Email us. Your input will make this a success!
Our Newsletter will be distributed to all members of the Missouri Chapter.

Newsletter Submission Guidelines
- You may email all content with the subject line “NASW-MO Newsletter Submission” to chapter.naswmo@socialworkers.org.
- Deadline for submission is the 26th of the month for the following month’s newsletter, but articles are accepted at any time. The newsletter publishes monthly.
- Keep article word count below 250 words, if possible.
- Please anticipate that your article may be revised. If you require final approval for your articles revised article’s content, please request this in your submission email.
- If you are submitting an article about an event, please note all dates.
- Publication order for publishing pieces is determined by the content of your article. Please note if your piece:
- Has no deadline (e.g., resource, article, interview, or announcement): ongoing basis.
- Does have a deadline: at least 3 weeks before event deadline (e.g., before early bird registration is closed, or with sufficient time before an application is due).
- Please note that the review process may take two weeks or more before an may be approved for publication.
- Photo submissions (optional):
- JPEG, GIF, or PNG format
- Written consent is strongly recommended if the photo shows a person’s face.
- If no photo is submitted, one may be included relevant to the topic.
